My Three Leaders

One leader in my life is my dad. He's probably the most influential leader that I have. He always has a direction that he is trying to go. Whether it's making an important decision at work or just leading us at home he always strives to be the best leader he can be. When he's leading someone he always clearly communicates what he wants done to the person. He then always meets the person halfway and I have never seen him not follow through on a promise he makes while meeting a person halfway.

Another influencial leader in my life is Coach Nady, my highschool football coach. He is possibly the best influencial speaker I've ever met in my life. He gets people motivated to do something good with their life by leading them in a good direction. He inspires people to work together in the same direction. And finally he is the most selfless person I know because he is always willing to help anybody out when they need it.

The last leader in my life is my bigger brother Jonathan. He has persevered through a lot of stuff and he still came out on top. When he was in highschool he had a lot of trouble with school and he wasn't the best student. Also he made some bad decisions and ended up having to pay for his second year at colloege by himself. He set a direction in which he knew would not be easy and he communicated with people that he needed help from. He has inspired me to become a better person and to work hard at everything I do. He was so commited to getting out of the hole he had dug himself into and he fought through everything and it finally paid off in the end

  1. Good attempt at this DAC concept, Patrick. One thing it demonstrated nicely is that leaders like Coach Nady provide direction, alignment, and commitment to an entire group, but we as individuals also must provide DAC for themselves. In this case, Jonathan's struggles and redirection provide an example of this. Direction sets the course; alignment makes sure actions support the direction, and commitment sees that the actions are completed.

Your word choice and spelling need revision. Write, REVIEW, and then revise. It will help!

You are still missing how your view of leadership has changed and the leadership interview reflection post, so work to get those done.

Class participation has been a strength for you. You add value to class discussions with your insights and you share them freely without being asked. Keep that up!
